Park Events
Pumpkin Painting
In October, student –SPSEA members participated in an event at Slippery Rock Park from 6-8pm that provided families with a night of Halloween fun! Our members helped families and their children carve or paint pumpkins, decorate Halloween cookies, and other Halloween crafts such as spider handprints, witch hats, and scarecrow masks. In addition to setting and cleaning up the event, members passed out treat bags to the children as they left.

Breakfast with Santa
Members from our chapter helped to hold Breakfast With Santa for about 50 community children and their families. We made pancakes, helped the children make holiday crafts including ornament making, snow globes and cookies decorating, and socialized with the families to generate holiday spirit. Afterwards, the children were surprised with a visit from Santa Claus!

Father Daughter Dance
This February, the Slippery Rock Chapter of S-PSEA volunteered their time at the Father Daughter dance. As the guests arrived, they entered a room full of hearts, flower petals, candles, candy, and music. While the fathers and daughters danced the night away our members signed in the guests, took pictures, and kept the fondue tables filled with goodies. Upon the final song, we wished our guest a good night and cleaned up the food trays and tables.
